For over 30 years, Alaska Marine Conservation Council (AMCC) has stood side-by-side with Alaska's fishermen and communities to advance our mission: To protect and promote the integrity of Alaska’s marine ecosystems and the health of ocean-dependent communities. As a fishermen-led organization, we understand the importance of managing fisheries to bolster opportunity and security for our fishing livelihoods alongside safeguarding the waters that make our work possible. Our staff, board and members are united by a commitment to sustainable fishing practices that honor the needs of our ecosystems while respecting the cultural and social values of our communities.

Fishing is no easy job, and fishermen nationwide whose livelihoods depend on Alaska’s fisheries are finding it harder than ever to make ends meet. We know the challenges are growing, and we're here to help you to engage in the fisheries management decisions that impact your livelihoods. AMCC is building out our website with tools and resources to help guide you in engaging with the Board of Fisheries and the North Pacific Fishery Management Council.
