On Monday, January 23rd join us at ORSO restaurant in Anchorage for a fabulous one night event featuring appetizers made with Kodiak Tanner crab and a chance to meet the fishermen who caught it. Taste of Kodiak is a celebration of delicious Tanner crab, conservation and community-based fishing opportunities in Alaska.

The tasty, sweet bairdi Tanner crab harvested in the Gulf of Alaska is a close relative of the snow or opilio crab but is meatier, larger and considered by many to be superior to opilio.  Bairdi Tanner crab is rarely available to Alaska consumers as most of the harvest goes to Japanese markets where it is in high demand. The Tanner crab fishery is short, typically lasting only several days one time a year. However, the winter fishery is extremely important to the independent, small-boat fishermen of Kodiak.

Don't miss out on this chance to support Alaska's fishermen, healthy working waterfronts and Anchorage's local restaurants!
