by Kelly Harrell last modified March 21, 2012 08:37 PM

AMCC is recruiting board members for 3 year terms. Joining the AMCC board is a great way to go become engaged in the functioning and governance of our unique non-profit. Help accelerate our work to keep boots on deck and Alaskan fishermen fishing far into the future by providing vision and leadership. Develop a strong statewide network with others who share common concerns about the challenges facing our fisheries and communities.

We are looking for board members from across Alaska (must be a resident) who:

  • know their communities and local fisheries;
  • are passionate about ensuring healthy fisheries for the future and thriving working waterfronts;
  • and have time, energy, and knowledge to dedicate to ensuring that we effectively carry our mission and work toward our goals.
Other qualities and skills that are helpful include young fishermen or coastal residents, those with interest or experience in fisheries marketing, those with fisheries or oceans-related scientific background, those with financial/accounting experience, those with fisheries policy experience, those with a legal background, and those that possess fundraising, communications and organizational management experience and skills.
