An evening of award-winning films exploring how our use of natural resources is impacting the planet and how we can lessen that impact.

Follow the life cycle of a paper cup and the environmental impacts of a convenience-based society. Take a road trip from Alaska to Argentina in a retrofitted Japanese fire truck that runs on everything from pig lard to palm pulp. Journey underwater to discover the ecological relationship between reef sharks and the coral reefs they inhabit.

Bring the family! There will be a one hour children’s film program and activities with supervision by our local FFA (future farmers of America chapter) in an adjacent room to the film festival.

Sponsored by Alaska Marine Conservation Council, Kodiak College Community Engagement Committee and Macks Sports Shop
