Fred Meyer Community Rewards
If you shop at Fred Meyer, you can sign up for Fred Meyer’s Community Rewards program and choose AMCC as the organization you wish to support. Each point you earn counts towards a donation Fred Meyer will give to AMCC, while also earning you Rewards Points, Fuel Points, and Rebates at the same time. To learn more and to sign up, visit fredmeyer.com.
Are you one of the many Alaskans who loves shopping on Amazon because you can get items not easily accessible in Alaska and the shipping is inexpensive? If so, consider linking your account to the AMCC through Amazon Smile. When you shop on Amazon, 0.5% of the price of your eligible Amazon Smile purchase will be donated to directly support the work of AMCC.
Legacy Giving: Bequest, Stocks, Endowment Fund & More
A bequest to AMCC is a great way to ensure a gift that keeps on giving. A will or living trust can provide tax benefits while ensuring a meaningful gift that will endure.
AMCC accepts gifts of stocks and potentially real estate when in the best interest of the organization. To find out more, contact Kelly Harrell, Executive Director at 907.277.5357 or consult your attorney or financial advisor.
AMCC also has an endowment fund through the Homer Foundation that you may consider as a way to support AMCC over the long-term. AMCC may not use endowment funds for its day-to-day operations but receives interest from the fund each year to help support the organization.
Workplace Giving & Matching
Employees of the City of Anchorage, the State of Alaska, the Anchorage School District, and federal employees can all give to AMCC through paycheck deductions as a part of workplace giving programs. Contact your human resources personnel to learn how to give to AMCC through your work place. Federal employees can visit the Alaska Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) website to learn more.
Many employers also match contributions to charities by their employees. Check to see if your employer matches gifts by you or your spouse to stretch your gift even further!
Honor a Loved One with a Memorial or Tribute Gift
Making a donation in the name of a loved one is a great way to celebrate a birthday, graduation, or other major life accomplishments. A memorial gift can also be a special way to honor a loved one’s life. To make a memorial or tribute gift in honor of someone, include a note specifying the memorial or tribute with your check or include this message in the “notes” section when donating online. Include the honoree’s address and we will send them a special card commemorating their recent celebration or accomplishment.
In-Kind Gifts of Goods or Services
AMCC is always on the lookout for donated goods and service such as artwork, fishing trips, etc. These items are auctioned off at our annual Ocean Boogie fundraiser in the fall. Food and beverage donations are also needed for events throughout the year. To make a gift to AMCC for one of our auctions or events, contact Connie Melovidov at email@example.com or call 907.277.5357.
