Write an Opinion Piece or Letter to the Editor!
Opinion pieces and letters to the editor are a great way for your voice to be heard and to raise the profile of an issue and spur needed action. Take the plunge and get yourself published.
Topics you may consider voicing your opinion on include:
- bycatch - especially waste of our king salmon;
- offshore drilling in Bristol Bay and the need for permanent protection;
- ocean acidification- threats to our fisheries and oceans and need for solutions;
- working waterfronts and prevent consolidation and ensure fishing opportunity for our community residents; and
- protecting the northern Bering Sea from bottom trawling to protect this unique ecosystem and the subsistence livelihoods its supports.
